Mechanical Engineer- 20154

Overview

Mechanical engineers design and advise on the building and repair of machines, tools and installations. Mechanical engineers work in a wide variety of industries. Mechanical engineers are working in the manufacturing industry, the military, aerospace industry, automotive industry, commercial products, and engineering firms. Mechanical engineers also coordinate maintenance and repair services for mechanical devices and help train technicians in how to use the systems they design. They also investigate problems and faults with machinery, and study ways to improve manufacturing and energy production. Mechanical engineers contribute to the entire cycle of production of various machines—from research, design, and development to testing and installation. They create innovative products through the application of complex engineering techniques and analysis. Mechanical engineers also troubleshoot malfunctions and anomalies in key processes.
