Overview

Task Impetus Inc is looking for a Software Tester to provide testing support as a member of an integrated project development and testing Team. They will be working with other Developers and Testers to test custom developed software as required.

The Tester will be responsible for providing input to project release plans that cover project inception through delivery and on-going operational maintenance. They will be expected to analyze and solve complex testing related problems; review other developers and tester’s work products for correctness, adherence to the project design concept and user standards. We are looking for a Junior QA Tester to provide application development and consulting support to our clients and not looking for any automation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Test case development
  • Manual testing of software functionality
  • Coordination and prioritization of testing activities
  • Analyzing complex requirements and design documents to develop detailed step by step manual test cases
  • Executing manual test cases; documenting actual results during execution; reviewing the test results and reporting
  • Collaborates with teams to identify process improvement strategies and develop effective testing solutions
  • Creates and maintains quality metrics
  • Collaborates with peers to create parameters and comparison data for improved accuracy
  • Independently performs post-production validation
  • Assists with coordinating non-functional testing activities, including performance testing, concert testing, and pen testing
  • Remains abreast of trends in testing tools and strategies
  • Leads complex testing projects as a subject matter expert
  • Relies on experience and judgement to perform job duties without supervision or direction
  • Tracking status of defects and reporting completion of remediation efforts

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
1+ years of experience as software test engineer (Freshers also eligible).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work productively in a dynamic, priority shifting, deadline-driven environment.
Excellent organizational, presentation, and business analysis skills.
Strong Analytical and Critical thinking skills.
Industry experience is not much required but would be helpful.
