Data Analyst (82400)

Overview

Data analysts gather and scrutinize data using specialist tools to generate information that helps others make decisions. They respond to questions about data and look for trends, patterns and anomalies within it. Using techniques from a range of disciplines, including computer programming, mathematics, and statistics, data analysts draw conclusions from data to describe, predict, and improve business performance. They form the core of any analytics team and tend to be generalists versed in the methods of mathematical and statistical analysis. Frequently confused with data scientists, data analysts do share many of their responsibilities. But data scientists focus on creating and enhancing data-driven products and processes.
